Playa de Sa Caixota

Despite its size, Sa Caixota is one of the most hidden and little frequented corners of the island. It is a cove of pebbles, open to the sea, located under a clay cliff. Although there are some luxury villas in the area, there is nothing on the beach. It is necessary to wear appropriate footwear, since the entrance and exit of the water is difficult. However, a few meters from the shore, especially at the end of the beach, there are sandy bottoms. The water is always crystal clear. From Sant Josep, take the road to Es Cubells. After about 4 kilometers, after going around the bends of two streams, you will see a road on the left that points to Urbanización Vista Alegre. There is a control but everyone is allowed access. Just say that you are going to Sa Caixota beach. Continue and the first time the road forks, take the road on the right. The next time, go left to a small square at a viewpoint. From here there are long stairs leading down to the beach.
